Interstate Access

Clark County has immediate access to Interstate 70 and Interstate 675.  With Interstates 71 and 75 in close proximity, our location provides easy access to many profitable markets. Within our region, we are located 25 miles from Dayton, 45 miles from Columbus, and 75 miles from Cincinnati.


Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport

Clark County has an outstanding air facility located at 1251 W. Blee Road, S.R. 794, two miles south of Springfield and I-70.  As a major military unit and vital component of the area’s economy, the airport provides travel and cargo needs for both citizen and business activities. Springfield-Beckley is the closest general aviation facility to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, which is the home of the Air Force Material Command headquarters.  The airport is a general aviation facility serving business, commercial, instructional, and recreational flying and serves divisions of the 178th ISR Wing of the Ohio Air National Guard (OANG).  Airside facilities feature:

  • Lighted intersecting runways, a 9,000 foot primary runway and a 5,500 foot crosswind runway
  • Air Traffic Control Tower
  • Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting Facility
  • Full-service Fixed Base Operator providing fuel, maintenance, charter, and avionics repair services.  
  • Aircraft storage is also available.

Dayton International Airport

Provides passenger and commercial service and is located in Vandalia, 23 miles west by Interstate 70.  Air freight is available with pickup and delivery to Springfield.


Port Columbus Airport

Provides passenger and commercial air service and is located 45 miles to the east.


Rail

The Clark County community is served by the Indiana and Ohio Railway, a shortline railroad with nearly 600 miles of rail, and Norfolk Southern.
