Greater Springfield Partnership Hosted a Hospitality and Tourism Mini Career Fair

    November 22, 2021

The Greater Springfield Partnership hosted a Hospitality and Tourism Mini Career Fair last Tuesday at Tecumseh High School. The students who identified as having an aptitude in hospitality and tourism, through the YouScience assessment, were invited to attend.

Excellent Turnout at Mini Career Fair

Approximately sixty students attended the hospitality and tourism mini career fair, where they were able to meet with four Clark County companies representing the industry. All Seasons Restaurant and Food Truck, Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken, Springfield’s Convention and Visitors Bureau, and Wittenberg Catering Service were in attendance.

“The turnout for the career fair was incredible. These sixty were able to learn about Springfield and Clark County’s robust hospitality and tourism industry, and how they can become a part of it. There are a lot of career opportunities in the field, some of which are a fit for students working while in high school,” said Kendra Burnside, Talent and Education Coordinator for the Greater Springfield Partnership. “We appreciate the businesses who attended and look forward to additional mini career fairs hosted within our local schools.”
