COLUMBUS, Ohio — Which businesses will be the first to open in Ohio? It's complicated, Gov. Mike DeWine said.
The governor vaguely discussed which businesses will be permitted to reopen in the first phase of the state's plan to jump-start the economy. Reopening the state will be a slow process with multiple phases – one that Gov. Mike DeWine hopes to begin May 1.
Hospitals will be among the first to reopen, the governor said. While hospitals and health care offices may not have necessarily closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, many have ceased performing elective procedures.
