AT&T Invests More Than $1.3 Billion Over 3-Year Period to Boost Local Networks in Ohio

September 21, 2018

COLUMBUS, Ohio, -- At AT&T1, we've invested more than $1.3 billion in our Ohio wireless and wired networks during 2015-2017. These investments boost reliability, coverage, speed and overall performance for residents and businesses. They also improve critical services that support public safety and first responders.

In 2017, AT&T made more than 1,300 wireless network upgrades in Ohio. We added new cell sites, additional network capacity, and new wireless high-speed internet connections.

Following the passage of Substitute House Bill 478, AT&T will continue its investment in Ohio with additional upgrades.

"Governor Kasich has signed legislation that encourages companies to invest more in wireless infrastructure. We're now speeding our wireless build out plans in Ohio with tens of millions of dollars dedicated to improving our mobile network," said Adam Grzybicki, president of AT&T Ohio. "This investment will also pave the path to 5G mobile services in the years ahead."
