Making Sure Our Community’s Voice is Heard

May 1, 2017

How can a community make sure that its voice is heard on a national level? If a community wishes to stand out in this crowded, constantly changing business world, its advocates must forge close ties with elected leaders, and take action at the state and federal levels.

Here in Springfield, Ohio, our Dayton Development Coalition provides a voice for the values and needs of our community by maintaining a full-time office in Washington, as well as by forming close relationships with elected leaders.

Through tireless efforts, the Coalition promotes job growth throughout the region. A prime example of the Coalition’s efforts is found in the annual Community Leader Fly-in - a three-day event in which our business, educational, governmental, and civic leaders travel to Washington to discuss regional priorities.
